EL CAMINO DE SANTIAGO / FALL & SPRING SEMESTERS

This is the introduction to your first semester. Shortly after arriving in Madrid you will join the Experiential Transition cohort and Spanish freshman students from the UFV's Excellence program to walk the Camino for a week.

THE EUROPEAN UNION: COMPARATIVE POLICIES AND INSTITUTIONS

(FALL SEMESTER)

This tour of EU countries will provide an insight on relevant transnational institutions and a comparative perspective on how the same agreed-upon policies are implemented in different countries.

 GREECE / SPRING SEMESTER

(spring semester returning students)

From the origins of democracy to the contemporary economic and human migration challenges faced by European nations, the experience in this country provides a unique understanding of its geopolitics: visiting refugee camps, meeting with NGO workers and international journalists, and visiting public communications and television agencies.

JERUSALEM / SPRING SEMESTER

(ALL SPRING STUDENTS)

A group of UFV students from multiple faiths follows the footsteps of Jesus Christ in an exercise of self-discovery. This is a journey through ancient history and modern diplomacy, and a reflective experience in a region marked by prejudice and religious intolerance.
